Our Team Annual Season Kick-Off Party will be from 6:00-8:00 on Tuesday, Sept 27th at Skatetown, 2330 William D Tate Ave, Grapevine 76051. Divers should have received an invitation in their diving folder. If you have other commitments on Tuesday, please try to stop by to order your team suit, pick up your shirt and get the competition schedule.
If you want more information on the parent booster club, representatives will be at the party. The coaches at GCD really appreciate their support!
A couple of things to remember for the party:
• It is free to all team members - siblings may pay at the door to skate. (divers who don’t wish to skate can still have fun)
• Cake will be served. The snack bar will be open and available for food and drink purchases.
• D&J Sports will be attending with sizing kits and will be taking team suit orders and will have warm-ups and bags as optional items.
• We will have a fashion show early in the party and divers will vote on their favorite suit for this year’s team suits.
• Pick your favorite! Once the divers vote on a winning suit STYLE, each diver can pick their favorite color of suit to order. Boys will have the option of a jammer style or speedo brief style.
• National Team suit color will be BLUE, but they also have the option to order the general suit for an additional competition suit.
• T-shirts will be ready for pick up at the party. All team divers need a team shirt for meets.
• Folder contest! The folder you received in the file box at the pool is yours to decorate. There is a contest at the party for the most creative folder. Age groups: 9under, 10-12 and 13 older. Awards and prizes will be given for the top 3 in each category
Please don’t put your name on the outside of the folder, but put it on the inside. Pick up your folder before you leave as we would like you to keep all diving related handouts etc in your folder during the year.
• Parents and Divers - please fill out and wear a name tag provided at the door. This is a great opportunity for everyone to meet the newer divers on our team and for parents to get to know each other.

The GCD Parent Organization would like to invite you to the 2010 Holiday Party on Sunday, December 5th at the Keller Pool. The party will run from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. A professional photographer will be on site during the party for individual and our annual team photos (Novice team, JO team, and National team). The photographer will begin with team photos at 2:15 pm. An order form for the photographer is available (please see email attachment).
Teams should wear following for the team photo:

JO - Team T-shirt and black or navy shorts or team warm-up pants
Novice - Team T-shirt with black or navy shorts or team warm-up pants.
Divers can wear whatever they choose for their individual photo.

GC Divers Parent Organization
The New Year’s meet is up again on divemeets.com. Please try to register this week so that if there are any problems, we have time to adjust before the day of the meet. It is sometimes complicated to get registered for a meet with divemeets the first time. It will be easy for future meets. If you don’t have your instruction sheet on how to enter, or you don’t have the dives your diver worked on with his/her coach, let me know. When you register, it will ask for the dives your diver will do on each board. Use the dive numbers on your sheet to enter these. Once you enter the numbers, it will let you know what those dives are etc. Your coach will be able to go online and check the dives you entered to make sure everything is correct. If your coach decides that another dive is better for the meet, those changes can be made up to the day of the competition.
Synchronized diving sheets will be in the diver’s mailboxes on Tuesday of next week. Those can be returned to the team fees folder at the pool.
We are excited about our first home meet of the season.

These are the instructions for the hotel in Houston for the Jingle Bell meet. I hope this helps. We are hoping to have a good turnout going to this meet. It is always a great meet with all of the effort they put into raffles etc. Most of the teams in Texas should be there. If you need help selecting dives for this meet, please ask your coach at your next practice. This meet is posted on divemeets.com as well. Let’s show up in force and show them how strong GCD again this year!!! They have events for future champs, novice and J.O.(FINA) so our whole team is elligible to go

We had a very successful meet in Conroe this weekend. The weather was a little chilly, but beautiful. This outdoor venue was at least covered by a very nice tent with built-in heaters all around.
Medals were awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers…
Our Novice divers won eight medals - congratulations Novice divers!
Our JO Team won twenty-five medals - way to go J.O. Team divers!
We also had a Master’s entry who won a medal, and we won three medals in the Bronze category.
Congratulations to all divers who traveled to Conroe and competed!
Below is the flyer for our annual Greenback Fundraiser. This fundraiser enables the GC Divers Parent Organization to purchase new equipment for the team. New additions have been made to both the Keller and Southlake pools. Please help us support our team.
